Tethered/Untethered

Every day I write the words tethered/untethered in my journal.
I am tethered to God

[here I am within your boundaries
you comprehend me and the world
you spoke us
into being]

As for all other people, I am untethered.

[among, with, and alongside.
you are my companions and my friends, my loves]

My soul remains free, tethered to the only one who knows
my beginning and my end.
This is freedom.
You have it also.

Only God can truly comprehend us, make the boundaries we exist within, know and witness and love our essential souls.
