December 12 – Body Integration

This year, when did you feel the most integrated with your body? Did you have a moment where there wasn’t mind and body, but simply a cohesive YOU, alive and present?

(Author: Patrick Reynolds)

I have to be honest and say that this one confuses me. I feel like my experience of mind and body is different than this suggests.

Most of the time I feel like there is a cohesive me, like I don't see any difference between mind and body.

In the moments that are the most special to me, I feel like I slow down and notice my body. In the sea, I am very aware of my body; hands, skin, water and the feeling of water. When I dance I am aware of the way my muscles are feeling, when I'm cuddling with Solo...

December 13 – Action

When it comes to aspirations, it’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen. What’s your next step?

(Author: Scott Belsky)

My very next step is to make pancakes for breakfast.

Other next steps? A video Chinua and I are making, jotting notes for my next book, raising money for the professional edit for this one.

December 14 – Appreciate

What’s the one thing you have come to appreciate most in the past year? How do you express gratitude for it?

(Author: Victoria Klein)

I feel like daily I am coming to appreciate my Superstar Husband more. He is the most incredible human being I have ever met. Such a great father, superb musician, best of friends. Strong enough to hold the nuances of this crazy life we lead. Supportive of my writing. Beautiful. Absolutely true to me, and humble despite this village fame.

And I express gratitude by telling him and telling him and telling him and generally pestering him with kisses.
